The Surprise

So the other night Michael (my gaming partner) told me he had a surprise for me. I was preparing for something small, like another Domo gift (i <3 Domo!). But no...this surprise was one of the best in a long time!

To Serve and...KILL!!!

So as some of you may or may not know I do not care for the Playstation 3. I am an Xbox 360 girl, and proud of it! However, I do own a PS3 and I would like to tell you the one and only reason why I own one...

Leave it to the Fans....

If Valve doesn’t do it someone will! Fans have been anxiously awaiting a new map for the original Left 4 Dead and come Halloween they will have one!

Some dedicated fans have been working on a new scenario called “Dead by Dawn”, which takes place at the Crossroads Mall which is from the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. Here you will try to survive getting through the mall with security guard C.J., who has a personality of his own.
These developers have been working hard for the L4D community and have used Valve’s mod tools from Half Life 2, and have gotten their full support. Valve has even so much as helped them out with an audio clip…can you guess what that might be (hehe)?!

They're Back....

Well I am back after a crazy few months and now November is just around the corner and you know what that means…Release Month! November is going to be crazy with new releases and we can not wait!

This year seems to be the year of the sequel, and although most sequels aren’t as good as the original these ones look like they might even be better.

Revieling the Makeover!

The PS3 Slim hit store shelves throughout the country yesterday and we can't wait to see what happens. Before you go out and buy one, make sure that you do your research to see if it’s worth it. I have started it for you and compared the major features between the two.

The Next Step?

So coming this winter, there is a new game console coming out; if you can call it that. I recently had a conversation which then turned into a debate with someone and I am continuing that conversation here today.

The console is called OnLive, and the cool thing is you don’t actually buy a hard copy of the game. The whole system is done via internet connection. Before I get into how skeptical I am about this new system, and believe I am, let me give you some general background info on the system.

Microsoft: The Ultimate One-Upper

Way to go Microsoft! And trust me I never say that unless it’s about the Xbox.

With the PS3 slim coming out in less than a week, Microsoft has quickly stepped up to the plate and made sure that they are still a major competitor in the console market. It was officially announced that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Elite will drop in price starting Friday…TOMORROW. It was originally at $399 and will now be available at $299 (the same as the PS3 slim). Even with its price drop, the Elite will still be the most expensive Xbox 360 available. However, it was also announced that the Xbox Pro edition will also have a price drop from $299 to $249, but will be phased out by the end of the year. Which mean, if you want something between the Arcade edition and the Elite edition, you need to buy it now before they all disappear.

Ok ladies, here is some big news and OMG am I excited! I know many of you might not be as excited as I am, but the Biggest Loser franchise is coming out with a video game. They are probably a little late with this since there is already the Wii Fit, but I love the Biggest Loser team and I find them to be so helpful.

WoW: Cataclysm

This past weekend the fourth annual (expect in 2006) Blizz Con which took place in Anaheim, California. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go due to lack of funds. However, I did order the live internet stream and watched most of it Friday and Saturday. The biggest and most exciting news of all…wait for it….they officially announced Cataclysm!!! Finally, the third expansion for WoW (World of Warcraft) has been announced. And it didn’t stop there! Blizzard gave us a huge amount of information on what to expect. Today I am going to go over a lot of that information to fill everyone in on what they might have missed out on. There’s a lot to talk about so you might want to grab your Mountain Dew WoW Game Fuel (FOR THE HORDE) before we start.

PS3 Makeover

Well, it was release last week and still big news today that the PS3 is getting a makeover! It's smaller, cheaper and even keeping its big hard drive (120 GB). This is something that Sony needed to do a year ago and is long over due.

Although I am more of an Xbox 360 girl, I was one of the few to also get the PS3 not long after it came out. I was in love with the tower defense game Monsters (available at the PS store by Pixel Junk), and the fact that it had a Blue ray player built inside was a nice bonus.

The Very Beginning....

Hello! I am Ms. Slowski, a girl and avid gamer (gasp). Yes, there are a lot of us girl gamers out there and we are proud of it. I became a gamer not too long ago and here is how it all began....

When I was a little girl all I asked for a game console every Christmas and Birthday. Back then it was a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, then Playstation and so forth. And every year I never got one. I never made my parents feel bad (I don't think they ever really knew how badly I wanted one) but a little piece of me was disappointed. Then one day I met my Prince Charming, who also happens to be quite into video games himself and my passion was finally discovered.
